Brookside Consultants, Inc. specializes in New York State based Independent Medical Examinations performed by an extensive panel of Board Certified Physicians. Our physicians are committed to providing timely, accurate and objective medical evaluations. BCI is dedicated to providing the highest level of customer service for our clients. The services we provide are:
- Referral sheets are accepted via phone, fax, internet or e-mail. Our Service Representative will also come to you and complete the referral sheet as well as copying the medical records, if you so desire.
- Appointments will be entered into our system and scheduled immediately upon receipt of the referral. In the event there are any delays in scheduling, we will communicate this in an expedient fashion to our client.
- Once the appointment is scheduled and entered into our system you will immediately receive an appointment confirmation letter and an appointment letter that was sent to the patient. A copy of these letters will be sent to you via e-mail as a Microsoft Word attachment (E-mail address and Microsoft Word required).
- Appointment letters are mailed to the patient and all other parties of interest within the same day of scheduling. When requested, appointment letters will also be sent Certified Mail.
- Reminder cards are sent to the patient (7) days prior to the examination and reminder telephone calls are made (2) business days prior to the examination in an attempt to avoid no-show situations.
- Once the scheduled appointment has taken place we will phone the physician’s office to determine if a no-show situation exists. If a no-show does occur, the adjuster will be notified to determine if the exam should be rescheduled.
- The participating physician is expected to send the completed report to BCI within 5-7 days from the date of the examination. This ensures that our clients receive the report in a timely fashion.
- Once the report is received it will be analyzed by our Quality Review Department who check for grammatical errors and ensure that all relative questions posed within the cover letter have been addressed by the physician.
- When an addendum is necessary, our Quality Review Department will request the report from the physician. A copy of the addendum request will be forwarded to our client with the IME report.
- All IME reports will be reviewed by our Quality Review Department and sent to all parties of interest within 24 hours of receipt of the IME report. When requested, reports will also be sent out Certified Mail.
